Reading Patient File



When viewing patient history, there are many options available on    the main patient file.

 

  1. Main Bar:
    1. Refresh
      1. Refresh all information on screen including appointments, alerts, and  notes
    2. Patient Demographics (Edit)
      1. Click to update patient demographics
    3. Calendar
      1. Click to schedule appointment for patient
    4. CD Import - REMOVED
    5. Patient flags – Will only appear if the patient has an alert
      1. Patient level alerts. Ex: Hearing Impaired
    6. Clear Filters
      1. Clears out any filters applied to the patient screen
    7. Worklist Views
      1. Set to “Contact Center” view – This is a 1-time setup and eRAD will save  setup!
  2. Last MRN’s Opened (Bottom Left):
    1. Ability to view the last 10 screens viewed/handled with   MRN
  3. Patient Exam History
    1. Flags – Patient Additional Alerts – Not used in Contact Center
    2. Nuggets – Appointment alerts and notes
      1. Person – Patient Demographics Quick View
      2. Post-it – Patient Notes (Different than Appointment Notes)
      3. Paper Clip – Attachments (Orders, DL, etc.)
      4. Paper – Report
      5. Circle with an i – Information (Not used in Contact  Center)
    3. Procedures – Exam
    4. Urgency Level – Order Status or Priority Status
      1. Ex: O, 1st, 2nd callcompleted, Screening, Need Order, Etc.
    5. Room Name – Room and Center exam is scheduled  in
      1. Note: If room name is “Physician Order”, exam is NOT YET   Scheduled!!!
    6. Scheduled Date and Time – Date and Time appointment is scheduled   for
    7. Status – Exam Status
      1. Scheduled
        1. Verify Room Name!!
          1. If Room Name is “Physician Order”, exam is not yet scheduled!
          2. Any other room name:
            1. Date in Future – Appointment scheduled in future
            2. Date in Past – No Show
      2. Cancelled
      3. Arrived
      4. Exam Done - Exam completed but report not started
      5. Report Drafted – Report started but not yet complete
      6. Signed – Finalized report
    8. Referring – Referring physician
    9. MRN
    10. Accession #
    11. All other columns are NOT used in the Contact Center!
  4. Filters:
    1. The Patient Folder is set up like an Excel document. Each column can be filtered.
    2. To filter, click on the funnel and apply any filter needed.
