Updating Class- Prior Films Tracking

The ability to track whether prior films are needed within eRAD is completed under the “Order” tab.

1. On the “Order” tab

2. Update Class under the “Flags” section on the Order tab

3. Options:NOTE: Priors Required overrides all other Class categories!

New Patient Diagnostic (Symptomatic):

"If you have your prior mammogram images or images from other recent breast MRI or CT studies, please bring them with you to your appointment. We will need the actual images in addition to the report.  This will allow for more accurate interpretation of your mammogram."

New Patient Diagnostic (Recall/Follow Up):

"It is necessary that we have your prior mammogram films and any other prior breast imaging studies including recent breast MRI or CT if performed at the time of your exam. We will need the actual images in addition to the report.  If we do not have them, we will have to reschedule your exam to another day. 

New Patient Screening:

"If possible, please bring your prior images to your appointment. This allows for more accurate and expedited interpretation of your mammogram."

*Note: Provide instructions on filling out release form from website when needed. 

1. Pending Orders – Selected by Order Organizers in the Contact Center ONLY! 
   1. If exam is being scheduled, do NOT select this option!
      
      
2. Priors Required – Patient MUST bring prior films to exam!
   • Follow Up Diagnostic or Follow Up Breast Ultrasound – Last exam was not with Solis
   • Recall Diagnostic or Recall Breast Ultrasound – Last exam was not with Solis
   • MRI, CT, Chest X-Ray that identified potential breast abnormality – Must bring to exam
   • Breast Cancer Diagnosis within the last 5 years
     
     
3. Priors Preferred – Exam can be scheduled and performed without priors. 
   1. Symptomatic Diagnostic – Have patient bring if possible
   2. Screening Mammogram – Last exam was not with Solis
   3. Priors performed out of the country
   4. Last exam over 10 years ago 
   5. Breast Cancer Diagnosis over 5 years ago
      
      
4. No Priors – Patient’s First Breast Exam 
   1. Patient does not have any prior films!
      
      
5. Priors Not Needed – 
   1. Patient’s last exam was completed at Solis
   2. Patient’s exam is not a breast exam
      
      
      Below Options are used by the Center. Do not use in the Contact Center!
      
      
6. Priors Requested – NOT SELECTED WITHIN THE CONTACT CENTER!
   1. The patient has completed the Film Release form and it has been sent to the outside facility to request the priors
7. Priors Received – NOT SELECTED WITHIN THE CONTACT CENTER!
   1. The priors have been received and have been uploaded into PACS 
      
      
8. Click “Save”
