Outside Films Guidelines

What are outside films?

• Outside films are the images (CD or actual film) that were completed at a facility outside of Washington Radiology.
• These are required by the radiologist to compare a patients previous related imaging to determine whether any changes have occurred since the previous exam.

What do I do?

• All related outside imaging is required at the time of the patients appointments; this applies to both screening and diagnostic appointments.
• It is solely the patients responsibility to obtain the outside images for all exams done at Washington Radiology.
