Purpose: This guide provides accurate scheduling support for Doppler Ultrasound exams across all Washington Radiology locations. Use this resource to confirm exam type, location restrictions, patient prep, and important scheduling reminders.

Extremity Doppler Reminders:

  • If the reason for the exam is any of the following, WR does not perform the exam. Refer the patient to vascular clinic instead:
    • Spider veins
    • Varicose veins
    • Venous insufficiency
    • Cosmetic/superficial vascular concerns
