Physician Requires Order for Screening

Note: Washington Radiology does not require an order for an Annual Routine Screening Mammogram. There are some referring physician's who require patients to have an order for screening prior to having their exam done with Washington Radiology. If an alert appears, please follow the process outlined below.

1. Once the referring physician has been added, you will see a message under their name
   NOTE: Full message can be read by hovering over the partial message that is displayed
   
2. If the accession has already been created and is in Order status, we already have it on file. Okay to proceed with scheduling, no additional steps necessary. Follow the Merge - Schedule from Order workflow
3. If an accession has not been added, we do not have the order yet.
   • Advise the caller that their physician requires an order for a screening mammogram and advise them to please bring the order with them to their exam.
   • Add a note that patient is aware their physician requires an order and will be bringing the order with them.
