CT Exam Scheduling Reminder
Only the following CT's will be performed on 8/1/25 across ALL locations:
- Lung Screening
- Cardiac/Calcium Score
- Sinus
- Upper/Lower Extremity
- Neuro cases: head, neck, sinus, IAC (internal auditory canal)
These may be schedule WITH or WITHOUT contrast, except at Sterling, which will not perform contrast exams on 8/1/25.
📌 Important: Centers have added restrictions to appointment slots for 8/1/25
Please review the slot restrictions carefully and confirm the scheduled exam matches what the location can perform.
Chest Wall Ultrasound Requests - Not Performed at WR
- WR does not perform chest wall ultrasounds.
- Dr. Allison does not perform chest wall u/s exams and only sees certain types of cases.
How to redirect based on lump/mass/neuroma location:
🗣️ Always probe for the reason for the exam and specific lump location. If it's in the breast area, consider whether a diagnostic mammogram and/or breast ultrasound is more appropriate.

Thyroid Biopsy Scheduling Reminder
WR will not perform a thyroid biopsy unless the patient has had a thyroid ultrasound completed at WR.
If the patient did not have the ultrasound at WR, they must schedule that first.
K-Street (DC) Diagnostic Mammo Requests
- Diagnostic mammo appointments at K Street must be requested via email.
- This is due to the ultrasound room being blocked, which prevents us from scheduling directly in eRAD.

MRI /Biopsy Requests - Contact List Use
If you receive a call for an MRI or biopsy exam and you are unable to transfer the call directly to the Center:
- Refer to the "Biopsy or MRI Order Contact List"
- Use the email template located on the job aid and send an email to the appropriate contacts listed
- Notate under Patient Notes that an email was sent requesting biopsy or MRI scheduling.
