PREP: 
AM APPOINTMENTS: Do not eat or drink after midnight the night before the exam. 2 hours prior to the exam, drink 16 oz of water only and do not empty bladder until exam is complete.
PM APPOINTMENTS: Do not eat or drink starting 6 hours prior to the appointment. 2 hours prior to the exam, drink 16 oz of water only and do not empty bladder until exam is complete.
Under 17:  Must drink 16-21 oz, 1 hour prior to appointment and do not empty bladder until exam is complete.

FEMALE CYCLE DATE RULES:Sonohysterogram (SHS) or Hysterosonogram (HSG, not to be confused with Hysterosalpingogram!)Normal Cycle: 
Schedule appt between days 7-10 of cycle
Erratic Cycles:
Call on 1st day of period. Will schedule appt between days 7-10
Continuous Bleeding or Menopausal:
Schedule exam at any time
NOTE: 
Day 1 is the first day of the period.

Woman: Bladder = Pelvic
REASON:
Abnormal bleeding, breakthrough or mid-cycle bleeding, rule out polyps, endometrial lining abnormalities, menorrhagia, ovarian cysts, fibroids, amenorrhea, post-menopausal bleeding, sacrum, pelvic pain, groin, follicle count

FEMALES: Cycle date does NOT apply. This exam can be scheduled any time.

MALES: Can schedule any time!

Under 12: heart
PREP:  Drink 16-24 oz of water 1 hour prior to exam and hold your bladder.
Under 17: 
Must drink 16-21 oz, 1 hour prior to appointment.
